The Sole Fitness have always operated under the ethos of high quality machines at affordable prices – the Sole Fitness E95 Elliptical Trainer is no exception. The E95 may not be able to live up to the quality of high-end ellipticals produced by Precor or Life Fitness, but at half the price and with some features that can rival and, perhaps even surpass these brands, it still comes highly recommended.
Sole fitness e95 elliptical trainer review details below:
Adjustable Power Incline
The ability to adjust the incline on the Sole Fitness E95 takes your workout to the next level, allowing you to increase the level of resistance, while simultaneously targeting your lower body muscles effectively, such as the glutes and quads.
Considering that this is a residential elliptical, the flywheel is on the heavy side. This is advantageous because the extra weight further enhances the natural, smooth elliptical stride motion.
The long 20” stride is how an elliptical should feel, and can rival Life Fitness and Precor’s more expensive models. Many ellipticals tend to have a circular, choppy motion which results in you having to raise your knees higher as you work out; fortunately, the E95 does not suffer from this problem.
Dual Wheel Design
The majority of front drive ellipticals – which the Sole Fitness E95 is – have single wheels that glide along a rail. This can lead to instability and a slight shifting motion as you work out. The E95 does not suffer from this problem thanks to being equipped with 2 concave wheels which results in a very smooth motion.
Fan & Speakers
While the Sole Fitness E95 speakers or the fan will not blow you away, it’s still nice to have a cool breeze directed at your core to keep you going during a tough workout, and to be able to exercise along to your favorite tunes. Both the fan and speakers are conveniently located on the console. The speakers are compatible with all models of MP3 players, including iPods.
Some ellipticals, even the more expensive ones, only feature 10 or fewer resistance levels, and the change in resistance from one level to the next can be dramatic. This isn’t the case when you have 20 resistance levels that can smoothly and gradually be changed.
The 9” LCD monitor on the E95 offers you the opportunity to simultaneously view your pace, pulse, calories burned, distance travelled, incline and speed. The console is adjustable so you can find a position that allows for optimum viewing based on your height. A peak and valley graph as well as a ¼ mile track feature are also included.
Heart Rate Control
There isn’t much to say about the heart rate control except that it is able to optimize your workout by determining your level of exertion based on your heart rate. The heart rate reading is accurate, so you’re actually working out in your exact heart rate target zone, and not above or below it.
Adjustable Foot Pedals
The foot pedals on the Sole Fitness E95 Elliptical Trainer are fully adjustable – they can be changed via the included worm screw – so you can find a position and angle that works for you. This is not only beneficial for comfort reasons, but also because it can minimize any strain felt in your feet as you work out.
Intuitively, you can change the level of resistance and incline via the switches found on the movable handlebars. There is, therefore, no need to break your stride or fiddle with the buttons on the console to change the workout intensity.
The Sole E95 comes with the same warranty as the Sole Fitness E35, which is a lifetime frame, 5-year parts and electronics and 2-year parts and labor warranty, which is an outstanding warranty in this price range, or otherwise – which makes it clear that Sole are able to confidently stand behind their products.

Sole Fitness E95 Elliptical Machine Review by User
The Sole E95 has received some very favorable reviews, with reviewers having stated that they love the range of resistance settings, the fact that the machine is very smooth and quiet when in operation, as well as the inclusion of a heart rate monitor which gives accurate readings. However, some users have stated that the assembly process is a little confusing in parts, and that the sound quality of the speakers is quite poor.
Besides the sound quality of the speakers and the assembly process, the only other thing to complain about is the size of the E95. It is on the long side and takes up a large amount of space. However, the length further adds to the machine’s stability.
Anything Else You Should Know?
All you need to know is that there are marginally better ellipticals out there, but certainly not for this price. With the Sole E95, you are getting a machine that is durable, reliable and can offer an effective workout; couple that with the very generous warranty, and it is easy to see why the E95 is so highly rated and popular.
